A body-size chart and a finished-product chart describe different things. Establish the measurement type before comparing a jacket with clothing you own.
Check the layer combination
Compare the listing with a jacket that works over your intended layers. Keep shoulder, chest and sleeve dimensions together rather than choosing from body length alone.
Keep performance claims separate
Request supporting product details if water resistance, insulation or material composition matters. Review visible closures and seams in QC photos; do not use them as a performance test.

Can a QC photo confirm that a jacket is waterproof?
It can show visible panels, seams and fastenings. It cannot establish how the fabric or construction performs in rain. Ask for evidence for the exact item instead of inferring protection from the model name.
